Jonathan Anderson to Head Dior, a First Since Its Founder Christian Dior
Dior appoints Jonathan Anderson as its sole creative head, marking a new era as he oversees all collections — menswear, womenswear, and haute couture — for the luxury label.

In a landmark decision set to reshape the contours of luxury fashion, French couture powerhouse Dior has appointed Jonathan Anderson as the sole creative director for both its womenswear and menswear divisions — a role not held by any single individual since the brand’s founder, Christian Dior.
The 40-year-old British designer will now lead the creative helm across all categories, including haute couture, ready-to-wear, and accessories. This bold move comes in the wake of Maria Grazia Chiuri's departure, who served as Dior’s women's wear Creative Director for nine years, making her mark as the brand’s first woman in the position.

Anderson, previously announced as Dior's menswear artistic director in April, ascends to the top creative post following his recent exit from Spanish luxury label Loewe, where he spent over a decade redefining the brand’s identity with a mix of craftsmanship and cutting-edge design. His tenure there solidified his reputation as one of the most innovative designers of his generation.
Delphine Arnault, Chair and CEO of Christian Dior Couture, praised the appointment, telling Vogue Business: “Jonathan Anderson is undoubtedly the most talented designer of his generation. His artistic sensibility and vision align perfectly with Dior’s heritage and future ambitions.”
